THE EYE PLACE
The Eye Place is an eye clinic and optical boutique in Abuja, with two full-service locations in Utako and Maitama. Both carry out comprehensive eye examinations, fit contact lenses, and dispense prescription glasses from a curated collection. At each branch the examination and the eyewear are handled by the same team, so what is found in the consulting room is what shapes the lenses you leave with.
Our Utako practice began in a 32-square-metre room in the same district. It now runs across 100 square metres — three consulting rooms, an optical laboratory, and the boutique floor.
Maitama followed, and runs the same way: consulting rooms, examinations, fitting, and the full eyewear collection. Whichever branch is closer, the care is the same. An online store extends the collection to clients ordering remotely.
Our optometrists work alongside ophthalmic technicians who take you through the preliminaries before the examination begins. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is dispensed without being fitted first.
The Eye Place is accredited under Nigeria’s National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) framework and works with a range of Health Maintenance Organisations, so cover applies to eye examinations and prescription eyewear for enrolled clients at both branches.
Sight for Girls is our social impact programme. It provides eye examinations and spectacles to girls aged 9 to 17 who would otherwise go unexamined, addressing a gender gap in access to eye care that shows up early and compounds through school.
